Do you have to buy an Apple or Samsung? Which one is better? And what are the pros and cons of both smartphones?
Apple and Samsung are still by far the largest on the telephone market and have the largest market share. Samsung is still in the lead. But where do two major powers differ from each other? And why do users swear by an iPhone or by a Samsung Galaxy? We are happy to list the facts for you.
The operating system
The difference is not so much in the design, but in the software. iPhones run on iOS, while Samsung uses Android. Experts generally agree that iOs works the easiest, but is therefore a little more boring.
Apple's software is characterized by high quality. With Android this differs per smartphone model. iOs updates are also made available for all recent devices, while with Android you are dependent on your manufacturer. This is mainly due to the fact that iOs is in the hands of Apple itself, while Android is dependent on Google. On the other hand, Samsung does have more options to design your Apps and screen in its own way.
The specifications
In the past, iPhones had 16GB as standard and you could expand this by depositing more money for it. With Samsung this was 32 GB. This has changed with the arrival of the Samsung S8, iPhone 7, 8, X and XI and the Samsung S9 and Samsung Note 10, respectively. This is mainly because many mandatory software, especially Apple, quickly take up 4GB. You are then immediately on a quarter of your memory.
Furthermore, there is always a lot to do about the batteries. The experts say that the battery of the Samsung on the whole is better measured and certainly lasts 2 days in the beginning. This is often not the case with the iPhone.
Finally, Samsung is also known for its better camera, but for the Samsung Galaxy S9 this was a big disappointment for many Samsung fans. With this, Apple has made a huge catch-up with the arrival of the iPhone XI in particular.
The Apps
Nowadays you see in practice that App makers often make their apps the same on iOS and Android. This means that if you switch between Android and iOS you can find practically the same apps. Obviously iOS has apps that Android does not yet have and there are very nice programs in between, but there is little that you will really miss. Of course it is true that some Apps work just a bit better on a Samsung or an iPhone, but in general the difference is small. In addition, they both also have a number of standard Apps that differ relatively little from each other.
